CONSULTANCY

#1.

An organised crime affiliated group threatened a prominent businessman with threats of violence and commercial disruption, putting himself, his staff and his customers in the line of fire.  KCM consultants were deployed the same day to offer guidance and advice.  Within 24 hours a security review was completed, practical measures were implemented to provide protection and an investigation was launched to gather evidence about the adversary for a potential criminal prosecution.  Within the month the adversary had left the region and business returned to normal.

#2.

A single mother was the subject of a harassment campaign by her former partner.  As well as trying to exert financial abuse, the individual was trying to use coercive control methods to disrupt a future criminal case pending against him.  KCM were contacted to conduct a thorough review of the security situation, carry out physical and cyber security improvements and provide a structured personal security plan for our client so that her life was not put at risk.  Our consultants briefed the client thoroughly and offered practical advice on countering coercive control tactics.

INVESTIGATIONS

#1.

A local businessman suspected that a competitor had access to, and was selling, a product that he himself had negotiated an exclusive area deal with via the product supplier and manufacturer.  Clearly there was a case of proprietary infringement somewhere in the chain.  KCM investigators were dispatched and sent an undercover operative into the competitor’s place of business to gather evidence.  This evidence was then analysed and presented to the client.   The manufacturer was contacted and we were able to identify were the corruption in the chain was.

#2.

A client was convinced that her ex-husband was leaving the children with an unregistered third party while he was out socialising.  Unfortunately because of the remote region of residence, gathering proof was proving elusive.

KCM investigators were contracted to develop and carry out a workable covert surveillance operation.  We conducted a close target reconnaissance of the area, spent days on the ground gathering actionable intelligence and liaised with local in-country investigation and law enforcement teams.  Within a very short space of time we were able to provide our client with irrefutable proof, via time stamped footage, of the individual’s actions and activities.

CLOSE PROTECTION

#1.

A HNWI contacted KCM to provide discreet close protection to his young step-daughter during a visit to the UK by the child’s biological father.  This was a very sensitive case as there was a real and genuine threat of abduction and absconding overseas to a country that did not adhere to the Hague Convention.

A four man CP team was tasked to act as “chaperones” throughout the visit providing a security presence whilst also giving the parent and child enough space to interact positively.  By the end of the visit no threats were detected and the child was returned safely to the family home.

#2.

The family member of a UHNWI had received unwanted attention from a suspected stalker.  The family member didn’t feel comfortable with a designated CPO, so a compromise was reached by having a covert protective surveillance presence at certain times; social events, business meetings, shopping, etc.

KCM deployed a small but effective protective surveillance team during this difficult time, operating discreetly in varying (and challenging) locations, but all the while remaining unseen whilst still being able to offer a counter-surveillance and personal protection capability over several months.

TRAINING

#1.

A senior level company director and family were planning a trip to several overseas locations over 12 months.  These locations ranged from high end to Third world standards.  KCM was called in to provide threat assessments, country briefings as well as provide advice and guidance on personal security measures and protocols for the travellers in a series of practical briefing sessions.  We were also able to liaise with our local contacts on the ground to provide additional logistical support and cover to add an extra level of protection.  The trips overseas went without any problems and the clients were happy with the service.

#2.

A senior director was taking over company offices in a Third World hostile environment and as he was taking his family with him, felt the need to be able to protect himself and them, in case of robbery/physical assault/kidnap, etc.

KCM were able to deploy specialist instructors to equip the clients with comprehensive personal security skills and training over a number of weeks.  This included personal security awareness, physical unarmed tactics as well as personal weapons based skills for the lone operator abroad.  This culminated in a stress test day – in which the skills that they had learned were used in a realistic scenario training environment.  KCM instructors were able to offer feedback, advice and present each individual client with a training template of areas that they need to work on and improve.
